Do You Think It's The Testosterone?

Does anyone out there think it's a good idea to call a contractor to come start work on your house on the Monday of Christmas week? Some male living in our house thinks it's just fine.

Nope. Not Weasley. If the idea doesn't involve sleeping, or food, or maybe both, Weasley isn't interested.  No, the Man Who Lives In This House decided that after waiting three years, now is a good time to replace windows, add a window, and replace the siding on the south side of the house. I admit that it really needs to be done, but starting Monday??? And of course there is a snowstorm expected Sunday into Monday. Followed soon after by Holiday guests.....Yeah.

.

Aren't the shadows on the house from the dead trees across the street cool? As you can see, some supplies have been delivered already, and will soon be covered with snow. This should be interesting.....

The bunnies look so like little lambs all ready for a Nativity.....As for the house, hmmm, guess there's really no choice but to let him have at it and sweep up the pieces.

a cool shadow shot.

The bunnies look like two little blobs of soft fluff just waiting to be hugged.

As a woman who worked as a project manager in construction for 10 years, I have but two words for you. Good luck....
However, the shadows of the trees do look totally cool and the fuzzy we ones...well, we all know how I feel about them. ;)

Oh dear, your silly man; I hope for his sake that when the sawdust hits the fan that he is wise enough to admit that he owes you HUGE. I also hope that if the weather is not cooperating that your contractor is wise enough to suggest that the project be postponed until temperatures improve slightly. Christmas with a gaping hole in the wall for any length of time is not exactly a pleasant idea.

As for the buns, they just look so precious, all loungey and fluffy and squeezably soft. I highly recommend snuggling with them under a warm comforter--and leaving Mr. Man out in the cold for a bit. ;)

Sounds like the ingredients for a memorable Christmas story to be handed down through the generations. Snuggle up with the fluffy buns and some hot cider and cookies in a secluded location and play Christmas music to drown out the noise.

Yup... definitely a testosterone thing! My husband searches for lengthy projects to tackle any time of the year... We spent a year working on an addition, complete with all the hanging plastic, sheetrock dust, sawdust, etc... then went STRAIGHT into a complete kitchen remodel. Not even a week off. Have fun & good luck :o)

WHo knows why men do the things they do. Sometimes I think it's best just to leave them be until they realize that their big plan was a total disaster, then you just need to smirk because they'll already feel sorry about it.

Those are the cutest little bunnies in pajamas I've ever seen. I do wonder how they handle suddenly feeling very cold and naked...
