This is my youngest girl's list of prospective colleges. It keeps getting longer. She has yet to visit a school that she doesn't love. But, she is one of those wonderful people who finds a way to enjoy herself, no matter what she is doing, or where she is, so this shouldn't surprise me. The background for the list is a poster that she made for herself that says "No Day But Today".
Having seen my girl consistently send the waitress away because she needs more time to decide when ordering from a restaurant menu, I dread the time when she actually has to narrow this list down to her final choice! And let's not even talk about how I am going to feel next August.
When all is said and done, one thing is true. I am very proud of the young woman she is becoming.

Oh man. My oldest is a sophmore and just starting the whole process. I'm excited for him but I'm going to miss him so damn much it hurts to think about it. ;o)
My youngest however, is 9. By the time college rolls around for her I may be plenty ready!
great choices! they grow up too fast. i don't have kids of my own, but i've watched kids i used to babysit grow beards, go to college, and get married! oy!

making a college choice is indeed difficult!
My daughters did the following:
1) spend one night in the dorms (as a guest)
2) eat a dinner in the dining hall (breakfast food is always okay; but dinner is more challenging)
3) sit in on a class they would be taking their first year
4) visit the college bookstore
Don't make their college choice on the following:
1) distance from boy/girl friends
2) the party scene
3) how often they will get to travel home
It needs to feel like home....

Sounds like she may be happy wherever she goes. My son has a hard time with decisions too. But as he matures (21) I am starting to see the them come quicker and to be exetremely well thought out. Love it that she made her lost on a Busy Bunny :D

How exciting! Good for her too taking time to research each one instead of jumping into something. Such a pivital point in life. Wish I knew then what I know now. But, don't we all. ;)
