Bet you weren't expecting to see that title so soon! Actually, neither was I. I was planning to post more pictures from my Pittsburgh trip. Then, I saw the weather forecast for the next week, and decided to uncover the greens that I had planted in the veggie garden last fall. Thanks to the warm winter, they are quite far ahead of where they were this time last year.
The lettuce, arugula, and radishes are growing well. The only disappointment was that there is not much spinach. I'm guessing that our October snowstorm came at just the wrong time for the young seedlings. I will plant some more, and hope that I get a decent harvest before the weather warms up too much, and the plants bolt. Considering how warm it's been all winter, I'm not getting my hopes up! Hmm.... I wonder what else I may be able to plant now. Maybe some kale?

Mr. Mick says it's not a proper garden unless it has some kale in it. He also volunteers to sample any kale you may grow to be sure it's of good quality. He will also sample any lettuce or radish greens as well (but no arugula, it upsets his tummy).
Looking good. I really should try a bunny greens garden this year, but the last few years have not been very successful.
it's so lovely to see all the green shoots coming up like that
