Helping Mom

I was trying to help Mom when she was basting a quilt today.

There were a lot of wrinkles in the batting that needed to be smoothed out.

So many wrinkles! Where do they all come from?

Finally, I got the batting straightened out, and then I had to start all over again with the quilt top!

It was really a lot of work.

At last, the job was done. I asked Mom if she thought I did a good job.

She said she could probably get more done if she sent me off to college with my sisters! Can you believe it? I'm not going. I hear they stay awake all night. That's no place for a bunny. Next time, Mom, I'm biting the quilt.

Oh Weasley, you know your mom could never send you away! You are the most precious helper in the whole wide world. Tell you what--you can come over and help me with the throw I'm making (as long as you promise not to nibble the yarn).

Well of course it takes longer .. why, she has to stop and admire your cuteness. She has to take notes on how she should properly be doing the anti-wrinkle process. She has to admire you some more. She has to process the bunny "Give me a treat" telepathy .. Humans aren't that bright, you know, it takes us a while to process it all.

You just have to be patient with us silly two feet. .. .. Well, not that you have a lot of choice, since we have the thumbs. :)

Weasley we think you did a fabulous job! You probably take a break though, our Mom will expect us to help her out if you keep this up :)

Weasley you are so good, not bunching up the quilt and batting to make yourself a nice soft bed like my two little ones do!
